Next Generation Maternal Infant Health Program takes a comprehensive approach to improving maternal and infant wellbeing in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties. Through culturally-competent home visiting services, we empower mothers to have healthy pregnancies and positive birth outcomes. Families receive essential baby items, fatherhood support, and connection to community resources.
Our community baby showers also promote maternal mental health, financial planning, first aid skills, and peer networking. By addressing medical, material, and social determinants of health, we aim to curb alarming trends in maternal and infant mortality affecting local families, especially in Detroit amongst African American families.
Next Generation Maternal Infant Health Program partners with mothers every step of the way to foster generations of healthy children through strong starts in nurturing environments.

“My son Tyler and I were blessed with Lesley as our social worker. As a new mom in a pandemic world, navigating life itself was difficult until Lesley came into our world. She has been the most helpful resourceful and kind human being to us. Anyone who gets to meet Lesley, or have her as their social worker will be blessed abundantly. We will never forget her and the loving kindness she brought to our family during a hectic time.
