Detroit Parks Revitalization Initiative is a community enrichment program focused on beautifying and enhancing Zussman Playground through park stewardship initiatives and youth engagement. In partnership with Green Living Science, we aim to maintain and improve the cleanliness of Zussman Playground through regular trash cleanups, recycling, and promoting proper disposal.

This program also provides environmental education for neighboring Detroit youth through lessons and hands-on activities focused on recycling, sustainability, and taking care of green spaces. Family-friendly community events in the park promote further engagement, education, and enjoyment of the space.

By empowering neighborhood residents of all ages to take pride in and care for Zussman Playground, we hope to build community bonds and inspire ongoing stewardship. We will pursue beautification grants and partnerships to support continued enhancements like community gardens.
